Eagle Ranch Kennels Breeding Program Philosophy

As a matter of principal, it’s important to understand a few things about our approach to breeding and raising GSP’s.

1. Eagle Ranch Kennels is not a mass producer of puppies. We selectively breed with specific intent.
2. Eagle Ranch is fully committed to upholding the breeding standards of the German Shorthaired Club of America, the American Kennel Club (AKC), and the North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association (NAVHDA).  
3. All Eagle Ranch dogs that are a part of our breeding program have or will have completed all age-appropriate health clearance testing before participating in any breeding to ensure breeding standards and healthy bloodlines are maintained.  
4. All Eagle Ranch Sires and Dams are AKC registered.  All Eagle Ranch litters will be AKC registered. 
5. Any Eagle Ranch Sire utilized in a stud service will only stud to other AKC registered GSP’s with the appropriate health clearances in place.
6. All Eagle Ranch Sires will be matched with Dams (whether they are one of ours or in a stud situation) with consideration given not only to hunting or field trial championship bloodlines but also personality and overall temperament.  Our goal is to produce the best possible instinctive bird hunting dog AND family companion at the same time.
